Pertamina Reaffirms Commitment to Maintaining National Energy Security
PT Pertamina (Persero) commemorated Pancasila Sanctity Day by holding ceremonies at the Pertamina Head Office in Jakarta and within the operational areas of Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) Kamojang, Bandung, on Thursday (1/10).
Under the theme “Pancasila as the Unifier of the Nation Towards a Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia,” this commemoration serves as a momentum for all Pertamina officers to implement Pancasila values in their duties, including the maintenance of national energy security.
Pertamina’s President Director, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, attended in person as the ceremony leader at the PGE Kamojang operational area in Bandung.
During the event, Simon delivered the Pancasila Sanctity Day Pledge from the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). The pledge serves as a reminder that since Indonesia’s independence on 17 August 1945, the Indonesian nation has faced various internal and external threats attempting to overthrow Pancasila as the state ideology.
The message emphasised the importance of vigilance and unity, grounded in the noble values of Pancasila, to maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
“Commemorating Pancasila Sanctity Day, we resolve to continue upholding and practising the values of Pancasila as a source of strength to foster togetherness in fighting for and upholding truth and justice for the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” Simon stated to officers in Bandung.
Meanwhile, Pertamina’s Vice President Director, Oki Muraza, acted as the ceremony leader at the Pertamina Head Office in Jakarta. Oki stated that Pancasila Sanctity Day serves as a reminder of the Indonesian people’s struggle to maintain Pancasila as the foundation of national and state life.
According to Oki, this spirit is reflected in Pertamina’s responsibility to carry out the company’s mandate to ensure the availability of affordable energy for the public.
“This is also a momentum for officers within the Pertamina Group to continue striving to uphold the mandate given to the company, which is to maintain national energy security through the availability of affordable energy. We hope to continue executing this to the best of our ability,” said Oki.
Through the commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day, Pertamina also invites all officers to adopt Pancasila values as a guide in their work and in serving the community.
This spirit of togetherness serves as a strength for all Pertamina officers in executing the company’s mandate and supporting the realisation of Indonesia’s energy security.
