Pertamina Prepares Additional Services at KM 456 Rest Area, Ensures Safe Energy Supply During Eid Holiday Travel
Pertamina, through its Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Central Java division, has ensured the readiness of energy services for the public during the peak Eid holiday travel period. Various additional facilities have been deployed at strategic points along toll routes, including at Rest Area KM 456 A and B in the Semarang region.
General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java-DIY, Fanda Chrismianto, stated that the company conducted direct inspections to ensure the readiness of these additional services. This measure was undertaken to guarantee fuel availability whilst providing comfort for holiday travellers passing through Central Java.
“Today we conducted an inspection at Rest Area KM 456 A and B to ensure the readiness of additional services in our Central Java Regional area. At this rest area, we provide modular services selling Pertamax products, as well as packaging kiosks that provide various community needs,” he said.
Additionally, Pertamina has deployed mobile storage tanks to maintain fuel stock availability throughout the holiday travel period. “We have also prepared mobile storage to ensure that fuel stock availability remains secure and the public need not worry during their holiday travel or return journey,” he explained.
At the other side of the rest area, specifically at KM 456 A, a modular petrol station managed by Pertamina Retail is available. This facility provides the same fuel products, namely Pertamax and Pertamina Dex, to meet the needs of toll road vehicle users.
Pertamina has also introduced MyPertamina Lounge facilities that holiday travellers can use to rest briefly during their journey. These facilities are equipped with various supporting services available free of charge.
“In addition to fuel refilling, we also provide two MyPertamina Lounge units that can be utilised by the public for rest. Various facilities are available and all can be used for free without any charges,” Fanda said.
Regarding energy availability, Pertamina ensures that supplies of petroleum products (BBM), LPG and aviation fuel remain secure to support community needs during the Ramadan and Eid holiday period.
“For energy availability, whether petrol or diesel, including LPG and aviation fuel, we ensure these are in secure supply. We optimise the storage capacity we have and supply deliveries are conducted regularly,” he stated.
As an additional emergency service, Pertamina has deployed a motorist assistance service to help motorists who run out of fuel during traffic congestion.
“Besides modular petrol stations, packaging kiosks and mobile storage, we also provide a motorist service. This service addresses emergencies, for example if traffic congestion occurs and the public struggles to move whilst their vehicle fuel runs out,” he explained.
Members of the public requiring assistance can contact Pertamina Call Centre at number 135. Motorist personnel will then proceed to the location to assist with fuel refilling.
“Our motorist personnel are stationed at rest areas and points estimated to be prone to traffic congestion. Should the public require assistance, they need only call 135 and personnel will be dispatched to the location,” he said.
He added that fuel prices provided through the motorist service remain the same as those at petrol stations, with no additional charges for the delivery service.
“The price remains the same as at petrol stations. The public simply need to pay the fuel price according to regulations, with no additional charges for this service,” he concluded.
In addition to ensuring smooth energy distribution, Pertamina has also urged the public planning to leave home during the holiday travel to ensure that home LPG conditions are safe. “The public planning to travel are urged to ensure that LPG hoses and regulators at home are disconnected to prevent potential leaks or unwanted incidents,” he added.
