PT Pertamina (Persero), through Pertamina Patra Niaga, is engaging in a strategic collaboration with the Badan Pengatur Hilir Minyak dan Gas Bumi (BPH Migas) and the Korps Lalu Lintas (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to ensure the distribution of subsidised fuels reaches its intended targets.

The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement on Wednesday (22/04). This partnership builds on previous synergies in utilising motor vehicle data as a basis for regulating and controlling the distribution of subsidised fuels, particularly Specific Fuel Types (JBT) such as solar and Special Assignment Fuels (JBKP) such as Pertalite.

Head of BPH Migas, Wahyudi Anas, stated that this cross-sectoral collaboration represents a strategic step in strengthening energy subsidy governance.

“The collaboration between BPH Migas, Korlantas Polri, and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in utilising vehicle data is a concrete effort to achieve targeted subsidised fuel distribution,” said Wahyudi in a press release on Thursday (23/4/2026).

Wahyudi emphasised that this data integration strengthens BPH Migas’s role in regulating and supervising fuel distribution, while also supporting consumption control through an integrated digital system based on vehicle data.

“This single-point data integration, managed by Korlantas Polri and utilised jointly, serves as a crucial foundation in supporting targeted subsidies, while enhancing transparency, public service efficiency, and comprehensive oversight of subsidised fuel distribution,” he added.

The synergy between BPH Migas, Korlantas Polri, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, local governments, and other stakeholders is key to ensuring that subsidised fuel distribution is targeted, beneficial, and appropriately volumised, and can be jointly controlled through an integrated system.

Head of Korlantas Polri, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryo Nugroho, expressed full support for this data integration, which serves as an extension and refinement of the existing cooperation. He hopes that subsidised fuel distribution will become even more targeted and provide optimal benefits to the public.

Meanwhile, Director General of Regional Financial Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Agus Fatoni, explained that the vehicle data integration by Korlantas Polri can be utilised across sectors, creating public service efficiency and providing better services to the community.

President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, expressed appreciation for the established synergy and emphasised the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in safeguarding energy subsidies for the public.

“Fuel subsidies are a state mandate that must be managed in a targeted, transparent, and accountable manner. In this regard, Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to ensuring that subsidy distribution truly reaches those who are entitled,” said Mars Ega.

Mars Ega added that it is hoped this collaboration can be further enhanced through the development of more adaptive systems, including the utilisation of digital technology to improve accuracy and minimise reliance on manual processes.

“We believe that strong synergy between Pertamina Patra Niaga, BPH Migas, and Korlantas Polri is the key to realising targeted, equitable, and sustainable energy subsidies,” stated Mars Ega.

Through this strengthened collaboration, Pertamina Patra Niaga, together with Korlantas Polri and BPH Migas, is committed to continuously improving data quality and supervision systems, so that subsidised fuel distribution can proceed more targeted, transparently, and provide optimal benefits to entitled communities.
