Pertamina: Pertamax Price Reduction Aims to Protect Public Purchasing Power

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has announced a price reduction for the Pertamax series of fuels, following government regulations and directives while remaining mindful of public purchasing power and supporting the availability of the national fuel supply.

“The price adjustment for non-subsidised fuel is carried out in accordance with government provisions and guidance, taking into account developments in global oil prices and the Rupiah exchange rate, while also considering the public’s purchasing power,” said Kitty Andhora, VP of Corporate Communication at Pertamina Patra Niaga, in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday.

Kitty continued that this step is also part of an effort to ensure that the national fuel supply remains guaranteed for the public.

Following the adjustment, the price of Pertamax Turbo has decreased from Rp19,300 per litre to Rp18,300 per litre; Pertamax Green 95 has dropped from Rp17,000 per litre to Rp16,600 per litre; and Pertamax (RON 92) has fallen from Rp16,250 per litre to Rp15,950 per litre.

Meanwhile, the prices for Pertamina Dex remain at Rp21,150 per litre and Dexlite remains at Rp19,700 per litre. These prices apply to regions with a Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) of 5 per cent, such as DKI Jakarta.

“Pertamina Patra Niaga is also committed to continuously providing quality energy, maintaining supply reliability, and providing the best service to the community throughout Indonesia,” said Kitty.

The price reduction for Pertamax and Pertamax Green marks the first decrease since the prices were raised on 10 June 2026, several months after the government had held prices steady despite surges caused by the conflict between the United States and Iran.
