PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has reported that the average daily consumption of non-subsidised fuel type Pertamax increased by 33.9 percent during the Eid period from 9 March to 26 March 2026, compared to the normal average in January 2026. This rise in fuel consumption aligns with the trend of long-distance travel by the public, which requires optimal vehicle performance, according to Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, in a statement from Jakarta on Saturday. “Amid the increase in fuel consumption, Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that energy availability remains stable during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force period in 2026,” he said. According to him, for Pertamax Turbo fuel, intended for high-performance vehicles, the average daily consumption also rose by 33.7 percent during the Eid period. Meanwhile, the environmentally friendly product, Pertamax Green, recorded the highest average daily consumption increase of up to 95.8 percent compared to the normal average. “This shows the increasing interest of the public in more environmentally friendly fuels,” Roberth explained. Overall, based on monitoring data for the 9-26 March 2026 period, gasoline fuel consumption increased by an average of 16 percent compared to the normal daily in January 2026. “The increase in gasoline consumption, especially the Pertamax Series, indicates that more people are choosing quality fuel to support more comfortable and efficient mudik and return journeys,” he said. According to Roberth, the peak gasoline fuel consumption occurred on 19 March 2026, with an increase of up to 37.8 percent compared to normal. Meanwhile, during the return flow, the consumption increase reached 20.1 percent on 26 March 2026. Roberth continued that for gasoil products, a positive consumption trend also occurred with Pertamina Dex rising 27.4 percent and Dexlite rising 4.9 percent compared to normal. In addition, increases were also seen in LPG consumption by 8.6 percent and avtur by 4.0 percent, in line with increased household activities and air transportation during the 2026 Eid holiday period. Specifically for avtur, the peak consumption occurred during the return flow on 25 March 2026, rising up to 22.1 percent compared to normal. Roberth also added that Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared various infrastructures and additional services to ensure smooth energy distribution. During the Eid holiday and return flow period, Pertamina has mobilised 2,074 SPBU stations on 24-hour standby, around 6,300 LPG agents on standby, motorist services for fuel and LPG, as well as 95 units of modular fuel services and 61 Pertamina Siaga Kiosks at various strategic points. In addition, there are 43 Serambi MyPertamina points providing rest facilities for the public on mudik routes. For information on services and energy needs during the return flow period, the public can download the MyPertamina application or contact the Pertamina Contact Center at 135, which is on 24-hour standby.
