Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut Denies Reports of Transporter Boycott, Assures Fuel Distribution Continues
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumatra Bagian Utara (Sumbagut) has affirmed that information circulating in one media outlet, claiming that transporters are allegedly reluctant to deliver fuel to petrol stations due to late payments, does not reflect actual operational conditions on the ground.
Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani, said the fuel distribution process in North Sumatra continues to run smoothly. All tanker fleets remain in operation to meet the public’s fuel supply needs, supported by 24-hour operations at Fuel Terminals and petrol stations.
Pertamina also assured that working relationships with all transporter partners remain in good standing. Administrative and payment mechanisms for partners are carried out in accordance with regulations and managed professionally, so as not to hinder the delivery of energy to the public.
“Fuel distribution continues to run optimally. Tanker fleets keep moving to make deliveries to petrol stations in line with the established distribution scheme. We can confirm that there has been no halt to distribution due to payment issues with transporters, as has been reported,” said Fahrougi.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut is currently accelerating the normalisation of distribution through 24-hour operations of Fuel Terminals and petrol stations, the addition of tanker fleets, support from tanker crews (AMT), and intensive coordination with all stakeholders so that the public’s energy needs can be met.
Pertamina urged the public to remain calm and not be easily swayed by unverified information. The public can obtain official information through Pertamina’s communication channels or contact Pertamina Customer Solution 135 for information regarding fuel services and distribution.
