Pertamina Patra Niaga Strengthens Terminal Operations to Support Fuel Distribution Reliability in Aceh

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut is strengthening terminal operations in the Aceh region as part of efforts to accelerate the normalisation of fuel distribution. Various optimisation measures are being implemented at the Integrated Terminal Lhokseumawe and Fuel Terminal Krueng Raya to ensure the community’s energy needs continue to be met. Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, stated that strengthening terminal operations is a strategic step to improve the reliability of fuel distribution in Aceh, especially amidst high public demand. ‘We continue to optimise terminal operations as the backbone of fuel distribution in Aceh. Various acceleration measures are being taken to make the distribution process more effective, so that the community’s energy needs can be properly met and distribution conditions in the field continue to show improvement,’ said Fahrougi. As part of this optimisation, the Integrated Terminal Lhokseumawe and Fuel Terminal Krueng Raya have increased fuel distribution operational hours from an average of 8 hours to 14 hours per day, including additional operations on Sundays. Furthermore, Pertamina has increased the frequency of tanker truck dispatches by approximately 65 per cent to accelerate fuel distribution to petrol stations and other distribution agencies across various areas of Aceh. Other efforts include adjusting distribution patterns to ensure fuel supplies can reach areas in need more quickly. Since 12 July 2026, the Integrated Terminal Lhokseumawe has also been supplying fuel to the Langsa and Aceh Timur regions, with an average delivery volume of 48,000 litres per day. Meanwhile, for the Bireuen and Pidie areas, Pertamina is optimising distribution collaboration between the Integrated Terminal Lhokseumawe and Fuel Terminal Krueng Raya, so that fuel distribution can proceed more quickly, evenly, and reliably. Fahrougi noted that synergy between terminals is key to maintaining the smooth distribution of fuel in Aceh. By optimising the operational capacity of each terminal, Pertamina can adjust distribution patterns more flexibly according to field needs. Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut is also continuously monitoring stock and distribution conditions across all areas of Aceh, while strengthening coordination with local governments, security forces, Hiswana Migas, and all other stakeholders. These measures are being taken to ensure energy distribution runs optimally. The public is urged to remain calm and purchase fuel according to their needs.
