Jakarta (ANTARA) — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga North Sumatra Region (Sumbagut) continues to strengthen the operations of fuel terminals in Aceh as part of efforts to accelerate the normalisation of energy distribution in Indonesia’s westernmost province.

Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, said in a statement received in Jakarta on Sunday that various optimisation measures have been carried out at the Lhokseumawe Integrated Terminal (IT) and the Krueng Raya Fuel Terminal (FT) in Aceh to ensure the public’s energy needs remain met.

She said strengthening terminal operations is one of the strategic measures to improve the reliability of fuel distribution in Aceh, particularly amid high public demand.

“We continue to optimise terminal operations as the backbone of fuel distribution in Aceh. Various acceleration measures are being taken so the delivery process becomes more effective, ensuring the public’s energy needs are properly met and distribution conditions in the field continue to show improvement,” said Fahrougi.

In addition, Pertamina has increased the frequency of tanker truck dispatches by around 65 per cent to speed up the delivery of fuel to public filling stations (SPBU) and other distribution institutions across various areas of Aceh.

Further efforts have been made through adjustments to distribution patterns so that fuel supplies can reach areas in need more quickly.

Since 12 July 2026, the Lhokseumawe Integrated Terminal has also supplied fuel to the Langsa and East Aceh regions, with an average delivery volume of 48,000 litres per day.
