PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has confirmed its focus on community empowerment, the environment, and social issues. This commitment was demonstrated through a visit by its commissioners and directors to West Java, specifically to the Ngabedahkeun Walahar Programme in Cikampek and the Lentera Jiwa Programme in West Bandung Regency, some time ago.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Commissioner Tina Talisa stated that this activity provided an opportunity to observe first-hand the progress of programmes run in collaboration with the community, local heroes, village governments, communities, and MSMEs.

‘Pertamina Patra Niaga is not only present as a form of support, but also as an empowerment effort that grows together with the community. Through collaboration with local heroes, village governments, communities, and MSMEs, it is hoped that these programmes can continue to develop and provide a broader impact,’ said Tina, quoted from her statement on Sunday, 26 July 2026.

Meanwhile, Independent Commissioner of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Siti Zahra Aghnia, conveyed that the company’s programmes demonstrate how local potential can be harnessed for the benefit of the community.

‘In Walahar, we saw how waste is being utilised effectively. The hope is that innovations like this can continue and their benefits can be felt more widely by local residents,’ said Siti Zahra.

Director of Human Resources at Pertamina Patra Niaga, Dewi Kurnia Salwa, stated that collaboration with local heroes, village governments, communities, and MSMEs is expected to broaden the benefits of the programmes and encourage sustainable community self-reliance.

‘Going forward, Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Social and Environmental Responsibility Programme will be focused on being more beneficial for the community, and most importantly, on how we can be present to address the problems that exist within the community,’ said Dewi.

A community member and Local Hero of the Ngabedahkeun Walahar Programme, Enjang Ramdani, said that the Pertamina Patra Niaga programme has provided tangible benefits for the people of Walahar, particularly in stimulating the local economy. ‘Since this programme was introduced, people’s incomes have increased and the local economy has become more active,’ said Enjang.

Both programmes support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Ngabedahkeun Walahar Programme supports SDG 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 7 on Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 12 on Responsible Consumption and Production. Meanwhile, the Lentera Jiwa Programme supports SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-being and SDG 10 on Reduced Inequalities.
