Pertamina Patra Niaga shares energy insights with ITS students
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga shared energy insights with students from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya through the Pertamina Goes To Campus (PGTC) 2026 event.
Didik Bahagia, Director of Refinery Operations at Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that this event serves as a meeting point for students, academics, and Pertamina Patra Niaga personnel to share knowledge regarding the energy industry and build interaction with the younger generation.
According to him, the connection between industry and higher education is vital to align industrial needs with the ideas and innovations emerging from university environments. He added that future energy challenges require participation from many parties, including students, who can begin contributing while still in university.
“The goal of Pertanya Goes to Campus is not merely a corporate socialisation activity or an introduction of Pertamina Patra Niaga to students. We hope this activity becomes a space for dialogue between the industry and the younger generation to discuss Indonesia’s energy challenges more closely and in a way that is relevant to daily life,” he said.
Didik explained that Pertamina also wishes to hear the ideas, perspectives, and aspirations of the youth, as the best solutions for future energy challenges may arise from classrooms and university laboratories.
Furthermore, Kitty Andhora, VP of Corporate Communication at Pertamina Patra Niaga, explained that PGTC provides an opportunity for Pertamina Patra Niaga to introduce the industrial world to students by providing an overview of the competencies and experience required to prepare for a career.
“Pertamina Patra Niaga’s presence at ITS is also intended to prepare students who will become the nation’s future generation. Competency, quality of education, organisational experience, and social life serve as essential preparation for students after graduation. We invite the entire ITS academic community to be part of preparing superior human resources,” said Kitty.
PGTC 2026, which took place on Tuesday (15/09/2026) at ITS, featured various dialogue-driven and inspirational sessions. Students gained insights into the dynamics of the energy industry through industry insight sessions and shared experiences regarding the professional world, leadership, and career development with ITS alumni who currently serve on the Board of Directors of Pertamina Patra Niaga.
The event was also attended by the Rector of ITS, Prof. Bambang Pramujati; Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina (Persero), Arya Dwi Paramita; and the management team of Pertamina Patra Niaga, including Director of Refinery Operations Didik Bahagia, Director of Downstream & Distribution Optimisation Hari Purnomo, Director of Planning & Business Growth Joko Pranoto, Director of Infrastructure, Projects, and Asset Integrity Setyo Pitoyo, and Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun.
