Pertamina Patra Niaga Services Wide-Body Aircraft Refuelling

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga successfully serviced the refuelling of 92,901 litres of avtur for an Emirates Airbus A380 wide-body aircraft operating flight EK359 from Jakarta to Dubai at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Banten, on Saturday (8/8/2026).

VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday that the aircraft’s arrival was a momentum for the company, through its Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) Soekarno-Hatta, to demonstrate its aviation service readiness in handling wide-body aircraft.

“Pertamina Patra Niaga successfully serviced the refuelling of 92,901 litres of avtur with a safe and smooth process,” she said.

Kitty said that servicing the A380 requires readiness of facilities, equipment, avtur availability, and competent personnel.

To support wide-body aircraft such as the A380, AFT Soekarno-Hatta uses a hydrant dispenser with a flow rate of 2,500-4,000 litres per minute (LPM).

This capacity is higher compared to narrow-body hydrant dispensers, which are in the range of 1,000-1,500 LPM with one hose.

“With large fuel requirements, wide-body aircraft need equipment with appropriate refuelling capacity. The readiness of systems, facilities, and personnel is key to ensuring the process runs optimally and safely,” Kitty explained.

“Safety and fuel quality cannot be compromised. The experience of servicing the A380 is part of our commitment to maintaining reliability and operational excellence in aviation services at Soekarno-Hatta,” Kitty stated.
