Pertamina Patra Niaga Provides MT Balongan Ship, Key Fleet for Energy Distribution Reliability

The presence of MT Balongan, one of Pertamina Patra Niaga’s fleet vessels, forms part of the key to strengthening national energy distribution. With a carrying capacity of up to 6,736 DWT and a delivery volume of up to 26,000 KL per month, this fleet supplies energy to the Ampenan, Bima, Camplong, and Benoa regions through loading processes at the Manggis Transit Terminal and Tanjung Wangi. This role positions MT Balongan as one of the strategic fleets in maintaining energy availability for communities and the industrial sector in various regions. In its operations, MT Balongan distributes various energy products to several main routes on a scheduled and timely basis. The consistency of this delivery contributes significantly to maintaining the stability of the national energy supply, while also ensuring that energy needs remain met in various regions with diverse geographical conditions. Since beginning operations in 2005, MT Balongan has continued to expand its distribution reach by serving not only areas with adequate infrastructure but also regions with challenging logistical access. The presence of this fleet becomes an important part in supporting energy connectivity in an archipelagic country like Indonesia. Director of Logistics Fleet at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Arif Yunianto, stated, “MT Balongan is an important part in maintaining the smooth distribution of national energy, especially for island regions and areas with non-simple logistical challenges.
