Jakarta (ANTARA) — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is preparing a replacement aircraft to secure fuel supplies in the district of Nunukan, North Kalimantan, following the crash of a cargo plane in Pa Betung Village, East Krayan sub-district, Nunukan, on Thursday (19 February 2026).

Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun, in a statement issued in Jakarta on Friday, expressed the company’s deepest condolences over the cargo plane incident.

“We hold the highest appreciation for the struggle of the energy heroes who fell in the line of duty delivering energy. Pertamina Patra Niaga prays that the response efforts proceed smoothly and that all affected parties are given strength,” he said.

According to him, the Air Tractor AT-802 aircraft was operating a charter cargo flight transporting fuel as part of efforts to support the distribution of One-Price Fuel to border areas.

Based on the latest monitoring, the aircraft had completed its fuel distribution mission to Long Bawan and was on its return journey to Juwata Airport in Tarakan.

Roberth said Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to coordinate intensively with the aviation operator, partners, and field teams to monitor fuel distribution to the area and ensure it remains served.

“To maintain supply stability, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to coordinate the provision of a replacement fleet and has now received confirmation of a replacement aircraft from the aviation operator,” he explained.

Pertamina Patra Niaga is also continuing to ensure that fuel stocks and distribution in the Krayan area and its surroundings remain secure and operating normally.

“To maintain supply stability, Pertamina Patra Niaga has also prepared alternative distribution schemes as a mitigation measure to ensure the community’s energy needs continue to be met without disruption,” Roberth added.

Roberth further stated that Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to maintaining energy supply availability, particularly in One-Price Fuel areas, including the use of aircraft to carry out delivery missions to border regions as a realisation of President Prabowo’s Astacita vision of achieving energy sovereignty across all Indonesian territories.
