Pertamina Patra Niaga Offers Free Emission Testing at Petrol Stations, Encouraging Public to Use Efficient Fuel
Pertamina Patra Niaga is once again offering a free emission testing programme for the public at several petrol stations in the Jabodetabek region through the “Wise Energy Use” campaign.
The public simply needs to download the MyPertamina app and show their registered account to participate in this free emission testing service. In addition to receiving a free emission testing certificate, consumers also have the chance to obtain a MyPertamina E-Voucher worth Rp25,000 and attractive merchandise directly.
Through this programme, Pertamina Patra Niaga aims to encourage the public to routinely check their vehicles as a simple step in maintaining vehicle engine performance and supporting more responsible energy use.
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, stated that the programme, which collaborates with the Environmental Agency, is part of Pertamina Patra Niaga’s efforts to raise public awareness of the importance of using quality fuel and vehicle maintenance to support better and more efficient emissions and fuel use.
“Through this free emission testing programme, Pertamina Patra Niaga wants to encourage public awareness of the importance of maintaining vehicle performance and the quality of emissions produced. We hope this programme can provide real benefits to the public in using fuel wisely while supporting a better environment,” said Roberth.
The free emission testing programme is being held at 14 petrol stations in the Jabodetabek area, running from 9–10 May 2026 (Phase I) and 23–24 May 2026 (Phase II), targeting 7,000 vehicles in the Jabodetabek region.
In the first period on 9–10 May 2026, the free emission testing service is available at seven Pertamina petrol station locations: SPBU 31.107.01 Sawah Besar Jakarta Pusat, SPBU 34.125.08 Jagakarsa Jakarta Selatan, SPBU 31.124.02 Fatmawati 2 Jakarta Selatan, SPBU 34.142.01 Boulevard Barat Kelapa Gading Jakarta Utara, SPBU 31.137.01 Pasar Rebo Jakarta Timur, SPBU 31.117.02 Daan Mogot Jakarta Barat, and SPBU 31.153.02 BSD Tangerang Selatan. All services are open from 09.00 to 21.00 WIB.
One Pertamina Dex customer, Andi from Bintaro, participated in the free emission test held at SPBU COCO BSD City. According to him, using quality fuel has a real impact on vehicle performance as well as better emission results.
“With this quality fuel, it’s proven right away; we just tested the emissions and the results are really good. Because with Dex, it’s noticeably better and also proven to be more fuel-efficient,” he said.
A Pertamax Turbo customer, Budi, also believes that using fuel according to vehicle specifications affects engine performance and vehicle emission quality. According to him, using high-octane fuel keeps the vehicle engine cleaner and optimal for long-term use.
“It makes a big difference (using Pertamax Turbo), because each vehicle has different specifications. It should be worth it, right? The engine is also cleaner, so the oil change interval can be longer,” said Budi at SPBU 31.137.01 Pasar Rebo Jakarta Timur.
Meanwhile, a Pertamax Series customer, Sandi, explained that his vehicle’s emission test results were good. He believes that using high-RON fuel greatly influences vehicle performance and better emission results.
“In my opinion, it makes a big difference, especially for high-cc cars like this. If you use good RON fuel, the results will definitely be good, and I feel it’s more efficient compared to subsidised fuel,” said Sandi.
