Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is introducing the energy downstream business to university students through the Pertamina Goes to Campus (PGTC) 2026 event.

Dewi Kurnia Salwa, Director of Human Resources at Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated in Jakarta on Saturday that PGTC serves as a platform to develop the potential of young talent, encourage the birth of ideas and innovation, and create a sustainable impact for the future of Indonesia’s energy. She explained that the company’s participation is an effort to provide industrial insights while building the readiness of the younger generation to face the professional world and the challenges of the energy sector.

“Pertamina Goes to Campus 2026 is a manifestation of our commitment to nurturing the nation’s young sprouts so that they possess the readiness, competence, and spirit to help maintain national energy sovereignty,” Dewi explained. She also expressed hope that the younger generation would become adaptive, competitive individuals prepared to face various future industrial challenges.

Dewi added that Pertamina Patra Niaga is also encouraging young people to possess strong competence and a sense of purpose to meet the evolving needs of the energy industry. According to her, students need the courage to continue competing and adapting to increasingly dynamic changes.

The PGTC 2026 event, initiated by PT Pertamina (Persero), officially kicked off at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in West Java on Thursday (21/5). In 2026, the PGTC programme will visit several campuses across Indonesia, featuring various educational, competitive, and collaborative activities, ranging from energising talks, energy innovation competitions, and energy debates to exhibition booths that introduce various businesses and career development opportunities within the Pertimina Group.

The PGTC 2026 kick-off at ITB was opened through a ceremony attended by Pertamina management, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of ITB, Irwan Meilano, and the Secretary of the Directorate General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Junaidi Khotib.

As the downstream subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), Pertamina Patra Niaga is participating in PGTC 2026 through interactive booth areas. These booths introduce the energy downstream business and efforts to maintain national energy security, showcase the MyPertamina application for consumer services, and provide information regarding career development, internships, and recruitment opportunities.
