Pertamina Patra Niaga Increases Distribution of 5.8 Million 3 kg LPG Canisters

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is increasing the distribution of 5.8 million subsidized 3 kilogram (kg) LPG canisters to meet public needs throughout the country during this week’s extended holiday period.

Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday that the additional supply would be distributed gradually across various regions, taking into account consumption trends and public needs.

“This step is taken as a form of Pertamina Patra Niaga’s commitment to maintaining energy security and reliability, especially subsidized LPG for eligible communities,” he said.

Roberth said the increase in distribution was carried out to anticipate increased LPG consumption, particularly among households, during the extended holiday period.

“Pertamina Patra Niaga is increasing the national distribution of 3 kg LPG by 5.8 million canisters. We are taking this step to ensure that public needs continue to be met and that the distribution of subsidized LPG runs smoothly throughout the region,” said Roberth.

“3 kg LPG is a subsidized product intended for low-income communities, micro-enterprises, targeted fishermen, and targeted farmers. We encourage those who can afford it to use non-subsidized Bright Gas so that energy subsidies are more targeted,” he explained.

Pertamina Patra Niaga also continues to coordinate with local governments as well as LPG agents and distributors to ensure optimal distribution of the additional supply during the extended holiday period.
