PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) held an interfaith prayer gathering at the New Site Office of PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan (KPB) on Monday (22/6) to pray for the smooth operation of the refinery. The event also featured the distribution of charitable donations through the Pertamina Berkah programme to several social institutions.

The event was attended by directors from both companies, including Pertamina Patra Niaga Deputy CEO Taufik Aditiyawarman, Pertamina Patra Niaga Director of Infrastructure, Projects, and Asset Integrity Setyo Pitoyo, KPB Director Bambang Harimurti, and Acting General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Balikpapan Refinery Yusuf Mansyur.

“May all units at the Pertamina Balikpapan Refinery operate without obstacles, produce products that meet specifications, and may all workers always be granted protection, health, and safety,” said Taufik.

As an expression of gratitude, Pertamina Patra Niaga distributed donations worth Rp127 million to 250 orphans, underprivileged individuals, and people with disabilities in Balikpapan and Penajam Paser Utara. The donations were given to various Islamic boarding schools, orphanages, child welfare institutions, Christian and Catholic communities, as well as disabled persons’ organisations such as the Indonesian Women with Disabilities Association (HWDI) and the Balikpapan branch of the Indonesian Disabled Persons Association (PPDI).

Beyond Balikpapan, the Pertamina Berkah programme was simultaneously carried out in eight regional areas and six refinery operational areas on 19 June 2026. Total donations reached Rp1 billion, benefiting approximately 100 foundations and 4,000 recipients.

One beneficiary, Sister Yohana MASF from LKSA Tabita Putri, expressed her appreciation for Pertamina Patra Niaga’s concern. “This assistance is very useful for meeting the children’s needs at our home, from daily necessities to education. We are very grateful for this donation,” she said. Similar appreciation was conveyed by Afif Irpan Kamil, Secretary of the Nurul Iman Orphanage, who added, “May the operations of the Pertamina Balikpapan Refinery always run smoothly, all workers be kept safe, and the energy produced bring benefits to the people of Indonesia.”
