PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumatra Bagian Utara has confirmed that the distribution of fuel oil in the North Sumatra region is continuing normally and optimally. The company dismissed reports circulating in one media outlet regarding transporters allegedly refusing to distribute fuel to public filling stations due to payment delays. Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani, stated that the information does not reflect operational conditions on the ground. He said the entire fuel distribution process in the North Sumatra region is running continuously. He noted that the tanker truck fleet continues to operate to supply the community’s fuel needs with 24-hour operational support from Fuel Terminals and petrol stations. He added that Pertamina’s cooperative relationship with all transporter partners remains well-maintained. He stated that administrative mechanisms and payments to partners are carried out in accordance with regulations and managed professionally, so they do not disrupt the smooth distribution of energy to the public. As part of efforts to maintain supply reliability, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra continues to optimise steps to accelerate operational normalisation. These measures are taken to ensure the community’s energy needs are met, particularly in the North Sumatra region.
