Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Energy Reliability During Eid, Pertamax Series Fuel Consumption Rises
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has ensured that energy availability remains stable during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force period in 2026. Amid rising public mobility, high-quality fuels such as the Pertamax Series have become the primary choice, recording significant consumption increases.
Based on monitoring data from 9 to 26 March 2026, gasoline-type fuel consumption increased by an average of around 16.0 per cent compared to the normal daily average consumption in January 2026. This rise was driven by increased use of the Pertamax Series, in line with public needs for optimal vehicle performance for long-distance journeys.
The average daily consumption of Pertamax (RON 92) was recorded to have risen by around 33.9 per cent, while Pertamax Turbo, intended for high-performance vehicles, experienced an average daily consumption increase of 33.7 per cent.
Meanwhile, the environmentally friendly product, Pertamax Green, recorded the highest average daily consumption increase of up to 95.8 per cent compared to the normal average. This indicates growing public interest in more eco-friendly fuels.
The peak gasoline-type fuel consumption occurred on 19 March 2026, with an increase of up to 37.8 per cent compared to normal. During the return flow, the consumption increase reached 20.1 per cent on 26 March 2026.
For Gasoil products, positive consumption trends were also observed, with the average daily consumption of Pertamina Dex rising 27.4 per cent compared to normal and Dexlite rising 4.9 per cent compared to normal.
In addition, consumption of LPG increased by 8.6 per cent and avtur by 4.0 per cent, in line with rising household activities and air transportation during the Eid holiday period. For avtur, the peak consumption occurred during the return flow on 25 March 2026, with an increase of up to 22.1 per cent compared to normal.
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth M.V. Dumatubun, stated that this increase in high-quality fuel consumption aligns with the trend of long-distance travel by the public, which requires more optimal vehicle performance.
βThe increase in gasoline consumption, particularly the Pertamax Series, shows that more and more people are choosing quality fuels to support more comfortable and efficient homecoming and return journeys. Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that all these energy needs are met well through the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force,β said Roberth.
Furthermore, Roberth added that Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared various infrastructure and additional services to ensure smooth energy distribution.
During the Eid holiday and return flow period, Pertamina has mobilised 2,074 24-hour Alert Fuel Stations, around 6,300 Alert LPG Agents, motorist services for fuel and LPG, as well as 95 units of modular fuel services and 61 Pertamina Alert Kiosks at various strategic points. In addition, there are 43 MyPertamina Serambi points providing rest facilities for the public on the homecoming routes.
