Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Energy Distribution Reliability through Fleet Optimisation
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strengthen the reliability of national energy distribution by considering the dynamics of societal needs and global geopolitical developments that also influence the energy sector. As public mobility and economic activities increase across various regions, national energy needs—particularly LPG and gasoline-type fuels—have experienced an upward trend. Global geopolitical conditions, including developments in the Middle East, also serve as important factors that are continuously monitored to maintain domestic energy supply stability. The company strives to ensure energy availability remains stable through integrated supply chain management, distribution optimisation, and diversification of supply sources. These steps are taken to guarantee the sustainability of energy supplies across all regions of Indonesia. The President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo, emphasised that the company has implemented various anticipatory measures amid global dynamics. “We continue to intensively monitor global situation developments and ensure that the entire energy distribution system, including logistical fleet support and distribution infrastructure, operates optimally so that energy supplies can reach communities throughout Indonesia,” he stated. To support smooth distribution, Pertamina Patra Niaga optimises the role of its vessel fleet as a connector between various distribution points, from refineries and terminals to strategic supply points. To date, the company operates 345 vessels, both owned and chartered, which form the backbone of cross-regional energy distribution. These vessels play a crucial role in delivering various energy products, such as BBM, LPG, avtur, and others, ensuring safe and timely distribution from the eastern to western regions of the archipelago. In addition, the company continues to coordinate with the government and stakeholders as part of its commitment to maintaining national energy resilience. All distribution activities are conducted with strict HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) standards to ensure operational safety as well as distribution reliability. Through the readiness of an integrated distribution system, Pertamina Patra Niaga reaffirms its commitment to continuously safeguarding national energy supplies and supporting community activities and economic growth throughout Indonesia.
