Pertamina Patra Niaga Distributes Ramadan Iftar Meals at Petrol Stations

Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Corporate Secretary, Roberth MV Dumatubun, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that this programme is a form of appreciation and concern for the community who are observing the Ramadan fast, particularly loyal customers of petrol stations, including online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers, public transport drivers, and people who are travelling as the time for breaking the fast approaches. According to him, the momentum of Ramadan is an opportunity to strengthen the company’s relationship with the community. “Ramadan is a month full of blessings and togetherness. Through the distribution of iftar meals and the Ramadan atmosphere at petrol stations, with operators wearing traditional Muslim shirts (baju koko), we want to create a warmer and more humane atmosphere. Petrol stations are not just places to refuel vehicles, but also comfortable places for people to stop, including online motorcycle taxi drivers who continue to work serving customers until the time for breaking the fast,” said Roberth. Yudi, a customer at the Fatmawati petrol station in Jakarta, appreciated the initiative. “We were on our way home from work, and sometimes we don’t find food along the way or don’t have time to go to a restaurant because it’s crowded, and we also happened to be running low on petrol, so we could refuel and break our fast at the same time,” he said. Roberth added that members of the public who want to refuel or simply pass by are welcome to stop and enjoy the iftar meals provided at the petrol stations. Furthermore, he said that the use of traditional Muslim shirts by petrol station operators is a symbol of the Ramadan spirit, which remains professional but is imbued with the value of togetherness.
