Pertamina Patra Niaga deploys 200 fuel tanker trucks for Eid holiday period
Jakarta (ANTARA) — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has deployed approximately 200 standby fuel tanker trucks at several strategic locations to support smooth operations during the Eid holiday period this year.
“We have deployed around 200 standby tanker truck units at several locations. This is to anticipate potential congestion, particularly on toll roads,” said Eko Ricky Susanto, Director of Retail Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, at Rest Area KM57 A in Cikampek, West Java on Monday.
He explained that Pertamina Patra Niaga has positioned fuel tanker trucks at various points that can respond immediately to any surge in fuel demand. “We have prepared tanker trucks to refill fuel stocks at petrol stations and other distribution agencies,” he stated.
“We have also deployed nearly 200 Pertamina Delivery Service motorcyclists, for both fuel and liquefied petroleum gas, particularly for areas and toll roads that are likely to experience heavy traffic and congestion,” added Eko Ricky Susanto.
According to Roberth MV Dumatubun, Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, fuel consumption for petrol is projected to increase approximately 12 per cent compared to normal conditions during the Eid holiday period. Conversely, diesel consumption is estimated to decline approximately 14.5 per cent due to restrictions on commercial vehicle operations during the holiday.
To support smooth energy distribution, Pertamina has prepared national infrastructure comprising 7,885 petrol stations, 6,777 Pertashops, 6,662 LPG agents, 757 bulk LPG filling and transport stations, and 223 kerosene agents.
On major exodus routes, Pertamina operates 2,074 petrol stations running 24 hours, approximately 6,300 standby LPG agents, 96 modular fuel service units, and 62 Kios Pertamina Siaga (Emergency Pertamina Kiosks) at 64 locations.
Additionally, Pertamina provides supplementary services including emergency fuel delivery motorcyclists on congested routes and the Serambi MyPertamina rest facility for holiday travellers at various rest areas, airports, and tourist destinations.
