REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Efforts to ensure LPG is available and received by the public in accordance with regulations continue through direct field supervision. In this regard, the Government, together with Pertamina Patra Niaga, conducted checks on the distribution, quality, and quantity of LPG in the Jakarta and Bekasi areas to ensure the distribution process runs optimally down to the depot level.

The Director General of Oil and Gas (Dirjen Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Laode Sulaeman, accompanied by the Director of Retail Marketing of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Ricky Susanto, inspected the Bulk LPG Filling Station (SPBE) of PT Sapta Arta Setia as well as several LPG depots in the Bekasi area, West Java, on Friday (3/4).

During the visit to the SPBE, a thorough check was carried out on the LPG filling process into cylinders, starting from weighing, ensuring no leaks, to checking the cylinder sealing before distribution to the public.

The inspection continued on Saturday (4/4) in the Jakarta area, specifically at the SPBE of Pertamina Trading and Services, Tanjung Priok, as well as several LPG depots in North Jakarta.

“We first visited the SPBE to ensure that LPG preparation runs well in accordance with good occupational safety rules; we also weighed the weights over these two days. Yesterday we were in Bekasi, today in Jakarta; all distribution processes are under control and running smoothly,” explained Laode Sulaeman, Dirjen Migas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

In addition to the SPBE, inspections were also conducted at three LPG depots in Bekasi, namely Suwondo Depot, Herman Depot, and Sriyatun Depot. In Jakarta, inspections were carried out at Sumaryono Depot, Lusy Vebriana Depot, and Hioe Muk Sien Depot. At these locations, direct checks were also performed on the weight of LPG in the cylinders to ensure compliance before distribution to the public.

“At the depots, we weighed several cylinders one by one, and all met the weight requirements, as did the prices. This means not only is the stock secure, but the reliability of distribution is also secure. From a safety perspective, we have also checked, and Insha’Allah everything is running smoothly,” added Laode.

On the same occasion, the Director of Retail Marketing of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Ricky Susanto, stated that Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to ensure optimal LPG distribution down to the depot level.

“This is part of our efforts to ensure even distribution of LPG throughout the regions, especially up to the depots. So the public need not worry; they can obtain 3 kg LPG cylinders at the nearest depot. We are committed to maintaining the availability of 3 kg LPG cylinders not only in Jakarta or Java, but throughout Indonesia,” said Eko.

Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to continuing to maintain the availability and smoothness of energy distribution, including LPG, so that it can be accessed by the public safely and according to needs in various regions of Indonesia. Pertamina Patra Niaga urges the public to use energy wisely and to purchase LPG in a reasonable and sufficient manner.
