Jakarta — Pertamina Patra Niaga has strengthened its gas-supply collaboration to support national energy resilience through reliable refinery operations by signing a Key Terms Sheet for a Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement with PT Medco E&P Sakakemang B.V., sourced from the Sakakemang Working Area. The gas is expected to support the operational needs of the Dumai Refinery and/or Plaju Refinery of Pertamina Patra Niaga. The signing took place during the Indonesian Petroleum Association Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex) 2026 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Wednesday, 20 May. The agreement was signed by Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Mars Ega Legowo Putra, together with Ronald Gunawan, Director of PT Medco E&P Sakakemang B.V., and witnessed directly by SKK Migas Head Djoko Siswanto. Mars Ega Legowo Putra, President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, said the collaboration is part of the company’s effort to maintain energy supply continuity for Pertamina Patra Niaga’s operations, especially to support energy processing at the refinery. “This collaboration is part of Pertamina Patra Niaga’s commitment to ensuring energy needs for refinery operations can be met reliably and sustainably. Through gas supply support from Medco E&P Sakakemang B.V, we hope this synergy can strengthen the national energy supply chain and safeguard long-term national energy resilience,” said Mars Ega. Through this collaboration, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strengthen its role as Pertamina’s Downstream Subholding in ensuring the availability of integrated, reliable energy supply that can support long-term operational needs.
