Pertamina Patra Niaga and Dukcapil Strengthen Accuracy of Subsidy Distribution
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is collaborating with the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs to strengthen the accuracy of energy subsidy distribution. The partnership was formalised through a Cooperation Agreement on the granting of access and utilisation of population data, signed in Jakarta on Monday (10 August 2026).
“This cooperation will strengthen the data verification and validation process to support more targeted distribution of subsidised energy,” said Mars Ega Legowo Putra, President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The agreement also supports the implementation of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 37 of 2023 concerning Technical Guidelines for the Transformation of Targeted LPG Subsidies. It serves as the basis for system integration prepared by Pertamina Patra Niaga for National Identity Number (NIK) validation in the distribution of 3 kg LPG cylinders.
“This collaboration strengthens synergy between parties to support more targeted energy distribution based on data,” Mars Ega added. He further stated that the cooperation is part of Pertamina’s efforts, through Pertamina Patra Niaga, to strengthen subsidy governance while maintaining energy services to communities across Indonesia. “Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to realising the government’s aspirations to ensure energy security through good subsidy governance and ensuring energy services reach the public from Sabang to Merauke,” he said.
As of the first half of 2026, Indonesia’s population is recorded at approximately 290.1 million people, with nearly 99 per cent of citizens eligible for identity cards having their biometric data recorded. “We appreciate the cooperation with Pertamina Patra Niaga. We hope the utilisation of this population data will not only support the targeted distribution of 3 kg LPG subsidies but can also be used for various other needs in supporting Pertamina Patra Niaga’s duties and services,” explained Teguh.
