Pertamina Partners with Communities to Ensure Consumers Use Quality Fuel and Lubricants
Pertamina Patra Niaga has engaged dozens of members from 10 two- and four-wheeled vehicle communities as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with communities to promote more prudent and appropriate energy usage, thereby enhancing consumer understanding of Pertamina’s fuel products. Heppy Wulansari, Vice President of Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, stated that the initiative aims to deepen the company’s relationship with consumers, particularly automotive communities that actively use Pertamina’s products and services. Attendees received information on proper fuel usage according to vehicle specifications, the importance of high-quality lubricants, energy efficiency, and the benefits of the MyPertamina app. Pertamina also reaffirmed ongoing improvements at its petrol stations to provide a more comfortable customer experience. Separately, Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun emphasised the need to strengthen targeted energy education through collaboration with various societal elements, including automotive communities. ‘Energy education is a shared responsibility. We invite the public and automotive communities to collaborate in spreading awareness about using fuel according to vehicle specifications, appropriate energy usage, and the importance of maintaining vehicle performance through quality products. Through this collaboration, we hope public awareness of more prudent energy use will continue to grow,’ he said. Automotive expert Rifat Sungkar, who attended as a speaker, noted that automotive communities play a crucial role as agents of change in conveying accurate information to the public about fuel, lubricants, and vehicle maintenance. He stated that using fuel with the correct RON rating and appropriate lubricants is vital for preserving vehicle performance. ‘The main theme is prudent energy use, and community members, in my view, are the best agents of change. They are direct users who can provide feedback and personally experience the products they use,’ Sungkar added.
