Pertamina P3DN Summit 2026: Strengthening National Industry and Economic Independence

PT Pertamina (Persero) is reaffirming its commitment to strengthening national industry through the Pertamina P3DN Summit 2026. This strategic step is taken as a tangible manifestation of Pertamina’s role as a driver of national economic growth. Not only in maintaining energy security, Pertamina also continues to strive to boost the Increase in the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN), expand employment opportunities, and strengthen Indonesia’s economic self-reliance. This commitment delivers a significant economic impact. Based on an independent study by the University of Indonesia (2025), the implementation of P3DN within Pertamina generated national economic output of Rp1,388.9 trillion, contributed Rp772.9 trillion to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and supported the absorption of approximately 4.47 million workers. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto expressed appreciation for Pertamina’s contribution to strengthening the foundation of the national economy. According to him, Pertamina is the bedrock of the Indonesian economy. ‘I extend my thanks and appreciation to Pertamina for this tangible contribution,’ Airlangga said. Similarly, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, stated that the P3DN Summit 2026 aligns with the national development vision within the Government’s Asta Cita, particularly in strengthening downstreaming, increasing industrial added value, and realising economic independence. ‘Pertamina wants to be the locomotive that drives the national industry towards the global stage. Every investment made must be able to strengthen the capacity of the domestic industry. Thus, every energy project must not only deliver business benefits but also become a foundation for Indonesia’s economic independence,’ Simon said. Director of Logistics and Infrastructure at Pertamina, Jaffee Arizon Suardin, added that Pertamina’s integrated business scale, from upstream to downstream, provides significant opportunities to increase the absorption of domestic products and services. Through synergy between the Holding, Subholdings, and Subsidiaries, Pertamina continues to optimise corporate spending to provide maximum benefits for the national industry. ‘Pertamina is present not only as a user of domestic products but also as a strategic partner for the growth of the national industry. When more local products are absorbed, the manufacturing industry will further develop, investment will increase, and new jobs will be created. This is the true meaning of Energizing Indonesia—not only providing energy for the nation but also driving the wheels of the economy and improving public welfare,’ Jaffee said. This commitment is reflected in the realisation of Pertamina’s domestic product spending throughout 2025, which reached Rp531.5 trillion, an increase of 27.95 per cent compared to the previous year. The largest contribution came from operational infrastructure spending and maintenance activities, amounting to Rp309.6 trillion, or approximately 58.2 per cent of the total realisation. As of June 2026, the realisation of Pertamina’s domestic product spending absorption has reached Rp239.9 trillion, reflecting the company’s consistency in strengthening the national industrial ecosystem. Through the P3DN Summit 2026, Pertamina hopes to strengthen collaboration between the government, state-owned enterprises, industry players, and MSMEs to accelerate the transformation of Indonesian industry to be more competitive and capable of competing in the global market.
