Pertamina P3DN Summit 2026: Driving National Economic Independence
PT Pertamina (Persero) has once again affirmed its commitment to strengthening national industry through the staging of the Pertamina P3DN Summit 2026.
The event reflects Pertamina’s role as a driver of national economic growth. Beyond safeguarding energy security, it also promotes the Increased Use of Domestic Products (P3DN), expands employment opportunities, and reinforces Indonesia’s economic self-reliance.
This commitment has delivered significant economic impact. According to an independent study by the University of Indonesia (2025), the implementation of P3DN within Pertamina generated national economic output of Rp 1,388.9 trillion.
It also contributed Rp 772.9 trillion to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and supported the absorption of around 4.47 million workers.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto expressed appreciation for Pertamina’s contribution to strengthening the foundations of the national economy. According to him, Pertamina is the bedrock of the Indonesian economy.
“I extend my thanks and appreciation to Pertamina for this tangible contribution,” Airlangga said.
In line with this, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri said the staging of the P3DN Summit 2026 aligns with the national development vision set out in the government’s Asta Cita.
In particular, this involves strengthening downstream industries, increasing industrial added value, and realising economic self-reliance.
“Pertamina wants to be the locomotive driving national industry onto the global stage. Every investment made must be capable of strengthening domestic industrial capacity,” he said in a statement on Thursday (22 July 2026).
Thus, Simon said, every energy project delivers not only business benefits but also serves as a foundation for Indonesia’s economic self-reliance.
According to Pertamina’s Director of Logistics and Infrastructure, Jaffee Arizon Suardin, Pertamina’s integrated business scale, spanning the upstream to downstream sectors, presents a major opportunity to increase the absorption of domestic products and services.
Through synergies across the Holding, Subholding and subsidiary levels, Pertamina continues to optimise corporate spending so that it delivers the greatest possible benefit to national industry.
Pertamina is present not merely as a user of domestic products, but also as a strategic partner for the growth of national industry. As more local products are absorbed, manufacturing industry develops further, investment increases, and new jobs are created.
“This is the true meaning of Energizing Indonesia — not only delivering energy for the nation, but also driving the wheels of the economy and improving public welfare,” Jaffee said.
This commitment is reflected in Pertamina’s domestic product spending throughout 2025, which reached Rp 531.5 trillion, an increase of 27.95 per cent compared with the previous year.
The largest contribution came from operational infrastructure spending and maintenance activities totalling Rp 309.6 trillion, or around 58.2 per cent of total spending.
As of June 2026, the realisation of Pertamina’s domestic product spending had reached Rp 239.9 trillion, reflecting the company’s consistency in strengthening the national industrial ecosystem.
Through the P3DN Summit 2026, Pertamina hopes to deepen collaboration between the government, state-owned enterprises, industry players and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to accelerate the transformation of Indonesian industry so that it becomes more competitive and able to compete in the global market.
