Pertamina P3DN Summit 2026: Driving National Economic Independence
Pertamina’s P3DN Summit 2026 serves as a platform to demonstrate the company’s role as a driver of national economic growth. Beyond safeguarding energy security, Pertamina is committed to increasing the use of domestic products (P3DN), expanding employment opportunities, and strengthening Indonesia’s economic independence. This commitment has delivered a significant economic impact. According to an independent study by the University of Indonesia (2025), the implementation of P3DN within Pertamina generated national economic output of Rp 1,388.9 trillion. It also contributed Rp 772.9 trillion to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and supported the absorption of approximately 4.47 million workers. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, expressed appreciation for Pertamina’s contribution to strengthening the foundation of the national economy, describing the company as the bedrock of Indonesia’s economy. ‘I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to Pertamina for this tangible contribution,’ said Airlangga. In line with this, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, stated that the P3DN Summit 2026 aligns with the national development vision in the Government’s Asta Cita, particularly in strengthening downstreaming, increasing industrial added value, and realising economic independence. ‘Pertamina wants to be the locomotive that drives the national industry onto the global stage. Every investment made must be able to strengthen the capacity of the domestic industry,’ he said. Pertamina’s Director of Logistics & Infrastructure, Jaffee Arizon Suardin, explained that Pertamina’s integrated business scale, from upstream to downstream, provides significant opportunities to increase the absorption of domestic products and services. Through synergy across the Holding, Sub-holdings, and Subsidiaries, Pertamina continues to optimise corporate spending to provide maximum benefits for the national industry. This commitment is reflected in the realisation of Pertamina’s domestic product spending throughout 2025, which reached Rp 531.5 trillion, an increase of 27.95 percent compared to the previous year. The largest contribution came from operational infrastructure and maintenance spending, amounting to Rp 309.6 trillion, or approximately 58.2 percent of the total realisation. Up to June 2026, the realisation of Pertamina’s domestic product spending absorption has reached Rp 239.9 trillion, reflecting the company’s consistency in strengthening the national industrial ecosystem. Through the P3DN Summit 2026, Pertamina hopes to foster closer collaboration between the government, state-owned enterprises, industry players, and MSMEs to accelerate the transformation of Indonesian industry to be more competitive and capable of competing in the global market.
