Queues for fuel at a number of petrol stations in Bali are easing as supplies are strengthened and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga optimises its services.

To speed up the restoration of services, Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased the capacity of its Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS), particularly the sale of Pertalite by the litre at several petrol stations in Denpasar where queues have been heavy.

At the same time, additional fuel supplies have arrived by sea to support smooth distribution to the public.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Vice-President of Corporate Communications Kitty Andhora said the company was intensifying its response by optimising all service and distribution channels.

The improvement in queues is a positive development, while efforts to speed up the recovery are continuing so that people can obtain fuel more easily and daily activities can return to normal.

“Queues at a number of petrol stations are gradually easing. We are continuing to maximise services and strengthen supplies so that recovery can proceed more quickly. One measure we have expanded is Pertamina Delivery Service, with distribution points adjusted according to queue levels and local demand,” Kitty said, according to an official statement on Friday (16 October 2026).

Pertamina Delivery Service is one of the measures being prioritised to speed up services through the sale of Pertalite by the litre to motorcyclists. Around 5,000 litres of Pertalite are currently distributed each day through the service to several petrol stations in Denpasar. From Friday (16 October 2026), capacity was increased to reach more people and help ease congestion in queues.

Purchases are limited to a maximum of three litres per motorcyclist and must be paid for in cash. PDS service points include Teras Ayung, Nangka Utara, Kesiman, Trenggana, Hayam Wuruk, Antasura, Renon and Imam Bonjol petrol stations. Distribution points will continue to be reviewed and adjusted to conditions and needs on the ground.

On the supply side, another fuel tanker has arrived to bolster stocks in Bali. The additional supply is being processed through terminal operations and tanker trucks so it can be delivered to petrol stations more quickly, as needed. Stocks and distribution are also being monitored closely to maintain continuity of supply across the region.

Pertamina Patra Niaga is continuing to co-ordinate with local government, the police and relevant stakeholders to support smooth distribution and maintain public order. The company is also assessing the effectiveness of its response in light of queue developments and public needs.

Pertamina Patra Niaga has urged the public to buy fuel according to need and comply with purchase rules. People are also encouraged to use the available services and follow official information about fuel services and distribution in Bali.

“We urge the public to buy fuel according to need and not to stockpile it, as this could disrupt distribution and other people’s ability to meet their needs. We ask everyone to help maintain a calm situation so that fuel services in Bali can return to normal,” she said.
