Pertamina Optimises Biosolar Distribution in Bengkulu
The monitoring effort reflects Pertamina’s commitment to ensuring subsidised Biosolar is distributed to eligible consumers in accordance with government regulations.
Bengkulu (ANTARA) - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel is optimising the distribution of Biosolar in Bengkulu Province by increasing allocations at petrol stations experiencing higher consumption, in order to meet the needs of the public and the transport sector.
“Pertamina continues to take various acceleration measures, from increasing allocations at petrol stations with rising consumption, to expediting supplies to Pulau Baai Fuel Terminal, and managing queues by marshal officers so that service can proceed more orderly and optimally,” said Rusminto Wahyudi, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel, in a statement received in Bengkulu on Saturday.
Pertamina acknowledged complaints from some drivers regarding queues and waiting times when filling up with Biosolar at several petrol stations, which have been affected by increased consumption and high demand at a number of points.
As part of efforts to address the situation, Biosolar distribution at petrol station 21.391.11 in Kepahiang Regency has been raised to 16 kilolitres per day.
In addition, Pertamina continues to evaluate the needs of each petrol station so that distribution adjustments can be made gradually while ensuring an even supply across all service areas.
Pertamina is also anticipating changes in consumption patterns resulting from fuel distribution arrangements in a number of areas bordering Bengkulu Province, so distribution continues to be adjusted based on developments in demand on the ground.
Furthermore, Pertamina is strengthening oversight of subsidised Biosolar distribution through transaction verification using the QR Code Subsidi Tepat system, vehicle registration number matching, and monitoring of transactions suspected of breaching regulations.
Vehicles proven to be abusing or illegally diverting subsidised fuel will be placed on a negative list, preventing them from carrying out further subsidised Biosolar transactions.
“This monitoring is part of Pertamina’s commitment to ensuring subsidised Biosolar is distributed to eligible consumers in accordance with government regulations,” said Rusminto.
Pertamina urged the public to buy fuel according to their needs and applicable regulations, follow officers’ instructions within petrol station areas, and maintain order while queuing so that service can run more smoothly.
He added that if members of the public suspect irregularities in the distribution of subsidised fuel, they can report it to the authorities or through the Pertamina Contact Centre (PCC) at 135 for immediate follow-up.
