PT Pertamina (Persero) has launched its Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme, departing from Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta on 15 March 2026, transporting thousands of participants as part of the company’s support for the government’s initiative to promote safer, more orderly, and more energy-efficient homebound travel during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Through the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme under the theme “Safe Mudik, Shared Hope”, Pertamina has provided 153 buses to transport more than 5,000 homebound travellers to 23 destinations across Java.

Pertamina’s Chief Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan expressed appreciation for the successful organisation of the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme and conveyed messages emphasising the importance of safety and health for both participants and drivers. “To all homebound travellers, we urge you to maintain good health and solidarity throughout the journey. To our drivers, the priority is not speed but safety—ensure all passengers arrive safely at their destinations,” Iriawan stated.

Pertamina’s Deputy Director Oki Muraza highlighted that the shared mudik programme represents the company’s contribution to supporting government policy on energy efficiency and reducing private vehicle congestion during the Eid holiday period. “Through Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026, we wish to contribute to the government’s efforts promoting more energy-efficient homebound travel. By using shared transport such as buses, fuel consumption becomes more efficient whilst helping reduce vehicle congestion on roads,” Muraza explained.

The Deputy Director emphasised that the 2026 programme exemplifies collaboration among various stakeholders to deliver safe, comfortable, and inclusive travel for the public. “Through various support facilities we have provided, including comfortable waiting areas, prayer facilities, dedicated lanes for elderly passengers and pregnant women, and various additional services, we hope participants can begin their journey with peace of mind, safety, and happiness,” Muraza stated.

Beyond the bus fleet, Pertamina has also provided various support facilities for mudik participants, including rest areas, children’s play zones, healthcare services, and meals throughout the journey, enabling passengers to travel more comfortably.

“From Taman Mini Indonesia Indah this morning, we are not only dispatching bus fleets but also thousands of hopes—hopes to arrive safely at their hometowns, reunite with loved ones, and celebrate Eid with joy,” Muraza remarked.

Pertamina also expressed appreciation to all parties involved in organising the programme, including the organising committee, fellow state-owned enterprise partners, field personnel, medical staff, and drivers.

“The dedication of all parties demonstrates that Pertamina not only supplies energy to the nation but also provides energy for the happiness and welfare of society,” he added.

The Deputy Director urged all participants to maintain good health and follow personnel guidance throughout the journey, whilst reminding drivers to prioritise safety. “May this journey become part of a beautiful Eid story filled with gratitude for all mudik participants,” he concluded.

The event was also attended by members of Pertamina’s board of commissioners and executive board. Through this programme, Pertamina aims to support the smooth flow of national mudik traffic whilst promoting the use of shared transport that is more energy-efficient and beneficial for public mobility during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period.
