SAMARINDA, KOMPAS.com — As the peak Eid al-Fitr exodus approaches in the Islamic year 1447 Hijriah, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan has ensured full readiness of energy supply and services to support public mobility throughout Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

This readiness is evidenced by the establishment of the Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 Task Force, which commenced operations on Monday, 9 March 2026. The task force has been deployed to ensure smooth energy distribution across the entire Kalimantan region.

Isfahani, Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, stated that the company has anticipated the surge in energy demand that typically occurs during the exodus period.

“We have mapped the potential increase in energy demand during this period. All operational aspects, from stock to distribution, have been prepared so that people can observe Ramadhan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with peace and comfort,” said Isfahani on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

Meanwhile, the return exodus is predicted to occur on 24–25 March 2026 and 28–29 March 2026.

Based on previous years’ experience, consumption of petrol and LPG is estimated to increase during Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr. This understanding forms the basis for Pertamina’s strategy to strengthen supply to ensure that energy distribution remains secure and controlled throughout the region.

From an infrastructure perspective, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan has deployed 16 fuel terminals, 3 LPG terminals, and 11 Aircraft Refuelling Facilities (DPPU). Additionally, there are 786 petrol stations, 558 Pertashop outlets, 527 LPG agents, 52 electric vehicle charging stations, and 13 kerosene agents supporting energy distribution.

Energy distribution is further strengthened by 762 fuel tanker units and 99 skid tanks to ensure distribution reaches even remote areas of Kalimantan.

Edi Mangun, Area Manager for Communication, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, added that additional services have been prepared along strategic routes that serve as movement points for people during the exodus.

“We have prepared 90 round-the-clock fuel stations, 326 standby LPG agents, standby fuel services and Pertamina kiosks, motorist services and fuel distribution points, standby fuel tankers, and 4 MyPertamina lounges that can be utilised by the public as rest stops. This reflects our commitment to serve the community wholeheartedly,” explained Edi.

Additionally, Pertamina has ensured distribution fleet readiness through safety inspections of hundreds of fuel tankers to guarantee safety standards and operational suitability during the task force period.

With these various preparations in place, Pertamina ensures that fuel and LPG supply remain secure during the Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr period, whilst supporting the smooth flow of the exodus and public activities in Kalimantan.

“Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr are moments full of meaning for our people. Therefore, we are committed to ensuring that energy is always available to support every journey, every prayer, and every moment of togetherness for the people of Kalimantan,” said Edi.
