Pertamina on 24-Hour Readiness to Safeguard Energy Supply Ahead of Idulfitri 1447 H

PT Pertamina (Persero) has confirmed readiness of energy supply during the Ramadan and Idulfitri Task Force (Satgas) 2026. During the period, Pertamina Group will operate with a 24-hour standby to ensure energy distribution remains smooth. Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communications, Muhammad Baron, said the company has been building up energy stock to anticipate higher consumption, particularly during the mudik and balik periods. “Fuel (BBM), LPG, and avtur are secure. We continue to strive to meet the needs of the public during the Ramadan and Idulfitri Task Force 2026,” Baron told a press conference at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. Pertamina forecasts the mudik exodus peak to occur on 14–15 March and 18–19 March 2026. Return flow is expected to take place on 24–25 March and 28–29 March 2026. The company projects gasoline consumption to rise with mobility, while gasoil is expected to fall due to restrictions on industrial vehicle operations. Consumption of LPG, avtur, and kerosene is also expected to rise. In the upstream sector, oil production by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi in January–March 2026 reached 386 thousand barrels per day. In the maritime sector, PT Pertamina International Shipping has prepared 415 tugboats to support energy distribution, as well as operating LPG terminals and fuel terminals. In the downstream sector, the distribution infrastructure on standby includes 7,885 gas stations (SPBU), 6,777 Pertashop outlets, 6,662 LPG agents, and 223 kerosene agents. A total of 2,074 gas stations operate 24 hours on main routes, supported by 96 modular fuel service units, 64 Pertamina Siaga kiosks, 200 fuel service motorcycles, and 200 standby tanker trucks. Pertamina has also added Serambi MyPertamina points from 27 locations in 2025 to 41 locations in 2026 as rest facilities for travellers. Additional services include ambulances at five locations, free porter services at several airports, as well as towing and service cars. In the gas sector, the gas sub-holding serves 818 thousand customers in household gas networks across eight provinces. Meanwhile, the renewable energy sub-holding maintains a clean electricity supply with an installed capacity of 3 gigawatts. Other subsidiaries are also on standby. Pelita Air Service has prepared 15 Airbus A320 aircraft on 17 routes, with 25 percent more seating capacity compared to last year. The airline also offers ticket discounts of up to 19 percent on routes from Jakarta and 35 percent for flights to Jakarta during the Satgas period. All Pertamina distribution infrastructure and services are monitored in real time via the Pertamina Digital Hub to speed up decision-making in the field.
