Pertamina Officially Operates Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force 2026, Ensures Secure Fuel and LPG Supply
PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially commenced operations of the Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr (Rafi) 2026/1447 Hijriah Task Force, which will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of national energy supply and distribution during the Ramadhan period through Eid al-Fitr.
The task force will operate from 9 March to 1 April 2026 across all regions of Indonesia. The establishment of this task force represents a strategic step by Pertamina to ensure the availability and smooth distribution of energy amid heightened public demand during Ramadhan and the significant mobility during the pre-holiday and post-holiday periods surrounding Eid al-Fitr.
Pertamina’s Chief Executive Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that the successful management of energy supply during the Christmas and New Year 2025 period has provided an important foundation for Pertamina to prepare for the 2026 Rafi period.
“With thorough preparation, strong cross-functional coordination, and collaboration across all operational lines, we are optimistic that Pertamina can maintain the reliability of national energy distribution,” he said in a press statement received by Kompas.com on Monday (9 March 2026).
According to him, Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr represent one of the most critical periods in national energy distribution.
During this period, consumption of fuel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and natural gas surges due to increased public mobility and energy demand in the transport, residential, and industrial sectors.
To address this, Pertamina has implemented various anticipatory measures through early preparation, whilst strengthening cross-functional coordination and risk monitoring and mitigation systems across the company’s entire operational supply chain.
Beyond ensuring energy supply remains secure, Pertamina has prepared various additional services to support public convenience during Ramadhan and travel during the Eid al-Fitr holiday exodus.
All task force operations will be monitored in an integrated manner through a command centre and digital monitoring system that enables real-time energy distribution surveillance.
The system also utilises data analytics and predictive monitoring to anticipate potential distribution disruptions and ensure rapid decision-making mechanisms through coordination forums and crisis centres that have been established.
“Pertamina will continue to be present in maintaining national energy resilience, ensuring fuel, LPG, and gas are available, and distribution operates smoothly so that the Indonesian people can perform Ramadhan worship and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with complete peace,” said Simon.
He added that Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr also represent an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of public service.
“Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr are moments to foster togetherness and mutual trust. This spirit is what we must bring to our service to the public,” Simon said.
All of these efforts align with Pertamina’s transformation orientation towards governance, public service, and business and environmental sustainability, by implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across all Pertamina business lines and operations.
