PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially commenced operations of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026/1447 H Task Force, which will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of national energy supply and distribution during the Ramadan period through Eid al-Fitr.

The Task Force will operate from 9 March to 1 April 2026 across all regions of Indonesia. The establishment of this Task Force represents a strategic step by Pertamina to ensure the availability and smooth distribution of energy amid growing public demand during Ramadan and heightened mobility during the Eid holiday exodus and return periods.

Pertamina Chief Executive Officer Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that the successful management of energy supply during the 2025 Christmas and New Year Task Force operations provided an important foundation for addressing the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period this year.

“The success of the 2025 Christmas and New Year Task Force serves as important capital for Pertamina in facing the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period. With thorough preparation, strong cross-functional coordination, and collaboration across all operational lines, we are confident that Pertamina can maintain the reliability of national energy distribution,” said Simon at the Kick Off of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force at Graha Pertamina, Jakarta, on Monday 9 March 2026.

According to Simon, the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period represents one of the most critical periods in national energy distribution due to increased consumption of fuel, LPG, and gas, alongside heightened public mobility and energy needs in the transport, household, and industrial sectors.

To this end, Pertamina has implemented various anticipatory measures through early preparation, strengthening of cross-functional coordination, and enhancement of monitoring systems and risk mitigation across the entire company’s operational chain.

“Through these measures, the availability of fuel, LPG, and gas during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr remains secure and sufficient,” explained Simon.

Beyond ensuring energy supply remains stable, Pertamina has also prepared various supplementary services to support public convenience during Ramadan and the Eid homecoming travel period.

All Task Force operations will be monitored in an integrated manner through a Command Centre and Digital Monitoring System that enables real-time monitoring of energy distribution.

The system also utilises data analytics and predictive monitoring to anticipate potential distribution disruptions and ensure rapid decision-making mechanisms through coordination forums and crisis centres that have been established.

Pertamina hopes that through the readiness of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force, the public can undertake Ramadan worship and holiday travel safely, comfortably, and with complete peace of mind.

“Pertamina will continue to uphold national energy security, ensuring that fuel, LPG, and gas are available and distribution runs smoothly so that the Indonesian people can observe Ramadan and welcome Eid al-Fitr with complete peace,” added Simon.

Simon further noted that Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr also represent an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of public service.

“Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr is a moment to foster unity and mutual trust. This spirit is what we must bring to our service to the community,” he concluded.

Pertamina, as a leading company in energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emissions 2060 target and continues to promote programmes that directly impact the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All such efforts align with Pertamina’s transformation, which is oriented towards governance, public service, business and environmental sustainability, while implementing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles across all Pertamina business and operational lines.

Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission VI, Nurdin Halid, emphasised the importance of ensuring the availability of fuel at all petrol stations ahead of the Eid exodus.

PT Pertamina Energy Terminal (PET), a subsidiary of Pertamina International Shipping, is ensuring the security of fuel supply during periods of heightened energy consumption during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.
