Pertamina Officially Launches Task Force for Ramadan and Eid 2026
PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially activated its Task Force for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026, which will be responsible for ensuring reliable supply and distribution of national energy throughout the Ramadan period and Eid al-Fitr, operating from 9 March to 1 April 2026 across all regions of Indonesia.
The establishment of this task force represents a strategic measure by Pertamina to guarantee energy availability and smooth distribution amid heightened public demand during Ramadan and the significant population mobility during the holiday exodus and return periods surrounding Eid al-Fitr.
Pertamina’s President Director, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, stated that the successful management of energy supply during the Christmas and New Year 2025 period serves as an important foundation for addressing the Ramadan and Eid period this year.
“With thorough preparation, strong cross-functional coordination, and collaboration across all operational lines, we are confident that Pertamina can maintain the reliability of national energy distribution,” said Simon during the Task Force kick-off at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta, on Monday, 9 March 2026.
According to him, the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period represents one of the most critical periods in national energy distribution due to increased consumption of fuel, LPG, and gas, coinciding with heightened public mobility and energy demands in the transport, household, and industrial sectors.
To this end, Pertamina has implemented various anticipatory measures through early preparation, strengthened cross-functional coordination, and enhanced monitoring and risk mitigation systems across the company’s entire operational chain. “Through these measures, the availability of fuel, LPG, and gas during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr will remain secure and sufficient,” Simon explained.
Beyond ensuring energy supply remains stable, Pertamina is also preparing additional services to support public comfort during Ramadan and the Eid holiday travel period. All task force operations will be monitored in an integrated manner through a Command Centre and Digital Monitoring System, which enables real-time energy distribution monitoring.
The system also utilises data analytics and predictive monitoring to anticipate potential distribution disruptions and ensure rapid decision-making through coordination forums and crisis centres that have been established.
Simon expressed hope that through the readiness of the Ramadan and Eid Task Force, the public can perform Ramadan worship and holiday travel safely, comfortably, and with peace of mind.
“Pertamina will continue to safeguard national energy resilience, ensuring fuel, LPG, and gas remain available and distribution runs smoothly so that the Indonesian people can perform Ramadan worship and welcome Eid al-Fitr with complete peace,” he said.
Simon added that Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr also represent a momentum to strengthen the spirit of public service. “Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr are a momentum to foster unity and mutual trust. This spirit is what we must bring to our service to the public.”
