Pertamina offers 10% Avtur incentive at two Papua airports

Jayapura (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku is providing a special 10% discount on Avtur prices for airlines refuelling at Sentani Airport in Jayapura and Frans Kaisiepo Airport in Biak, Papua. The Area Manager for Communication Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua, Ispiani Abbas, stated in Jayapura on Friday that this policy is implemented to support the affordability of airfares for the public, particularly in areas heavily dependent on air transport. “This incentive is our form of support for the programme to provide more affordable air tickets during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, given that air transport is the primary need for people in Papua,” she said. According to Ispiani, the Avtur discount is expected to help airlines reduce operational costs, thereby impacting more competitive ticket prices for passengers. “In addition to providing price incentives, Pertamina is also ensuring the availability of Avtur stocks remains secure during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return period,” she added. She explained that this is done to maintain smooth air connectivity in the Papua region. “Our commitment is to ensure Avtur supplies remain stable so that flight operations are not disrupted, especially during important moments like Eid al-Fitr,” she said again. She added that Pertamina is also introducing additional services for passengers at the airport as a form of improving services to the public. “These various strategic steps are expected to provide comfort for the public travelling by air and facilitate mobility during the Eid al-Fitr period,” she stated.
