Pertamina: No Fuel Price Increase as of April 2026

PT Pertamina (Persero) has confirmed that information circulating in the public regarding an increase in the price of non-subsidised fuels is untrue. Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, Muhammad Baron, stated that to date, there has been no official decision on changes to fuel prices for the period starting 1 April 2026. “The information on projected fuel price increases that is circulating cannot be held accountable. As of today, there has been no official announcement regarding prices from 1 April 2026,” Baron said in a written statement on Monday (30/3). Pertamina has urged the public not to be easily influenced by unverified information and to only refer to the company’s official channels. “Ensure that valid fuel price information is obtained through Pertamina’s official channels, including the website www.pertamina.com,” he stressed. In addition, Pertamina expressed its support for the government’s call for the wise and efficient use of energy. Previously, widely circulated information in the form of an image contained projections of price increases for non-subsidised fuels in April 2026. The narrative mentioned surges in prices for several products, such as Pertamax up to Dexlite, linked to trends in rising global oil prices and the weakening rupiah exchange rate. The information even claimed that Pertamax prices could exceed Rp17,000 per litre. However, Pertamina has assured that all such information is unofficial and cannot be used as a reference.
