Jayapura, Papua — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku has mobilised 343 fuel stations across Papua to ensure smooth energy distribution to the public during the Eid holidays in 2026.

Executive General Manager Awan Raharjo said the fuel stations are distributed across six provinces in the Papua region: 58 stations in Papua, 87 in West Papua, 63 in Southwest Papua, 24 in Highland Papua, 62 in South Papua, and 49 in Central Papua.

“To this end, a Ramadan and Eid task force has been established to guarantee that energy supply and distribution continue to run smoothly during this period,” he stated.

Raharjo explained that the task force has been formed to ensure energy distribution to the public proceeds without disruption. “Beyond mobilising fuel stations, we are also preparing supporting infrastructure comprising 21 fuel terminals, two integrated terminals, and 12 aviation fuel terminals that support energy distribution in the Papua and Maluku regions,” he said.

He noted that all Pertamina operational personnel will remain on standby throughout the task force period, including on public holidays, to ensure energy distribution services continue to operate optimally.

“Based on projected energy demand during the Ramadan and Eid period, consumption of certain energy types is expected to increase, including petrol, which is projected to rise by 3.8 per cent,” Raharjo said.

He added that consumption of non-subsidised LPG and kerosene is also expected to increase, prompting Pertamina to prepare an additional kerosene supply of up to 4.5 per cent to anticipate rising demand.

“Regarding stock availability, Pertamina ensures that energy reserves remain at safe levels with a minimum buffer of 10 days during the task force period,” he concluded.
