Pertamina Marine Engineering's Underwater Projects Surge 268% Above Target
PT Pertamina Marine Engineering (PME) has recorded a sharp increase in project completions within its underwater services segment throughout 2025. Amid the dynamics of the maritime industry, the company realised 59 projects, achieving 268.75 percent of the target set in its annual work plan and budget (RKAP).
The achievement was disclosed during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) for the 2025 financial year, held on Tuesday (23/6) in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. During the meeting, shareholders approved the annual report and ratified the company’s financial statements for the 2025 fiscal year.
Beyond underwater services, the company’s other business lines, Waste Management and Dockyard, also exceeded their targets. To strengthen operational capabilities, the company realised investments in a Launch Arm Recovery System (LARS) and an underwater drone to support its underwater services.
PT Pertamina Marine Engineering President Director Heri Santika Permana stated that 2025 was a period full of challenges but also a momentum to strengthen the company’s operational capabilities. ‘Throughout 2025, PME recorded several important achievements, particularly in work safety, operations, and business capability strengthening. From the HSSEE aspect, PME maintained its safety performance by recording zero accidents, 1.18 million safe man-hours, and zero LTIR and TRIR values throughout 2025,’ Heri said, as quoted on Friday (3/7).
Financially, the company posted a net profit of Rp13.32 billion with EBITDA reaching Rp33.98 billion. Total assets were recorded at Rp441.08 billion, and the 2025 financial report received an unqualified audit opinion. The company’s health level was also rated as Healthy (A) with a score of 78.32.
During the RUPST, shareholders also determined the use of profits, appointed a Public Accounting Firm for the 2026 fiscal year, and approved the remuneration for the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners.
PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental Fleet Director Dewi Susanti assessed that the company needs to maintain this positive trend by strengthening governance and optimising investments. ‘We appreciate PT Pertamina Marine Engineering’s performance, especially in maintaining work safety aspects, enhancing business capabilities, and strengthening synergy within the Pertamina Group. Going forward, PME is expected to continue strengthening corporate governance, optimising investments, and capturing business opportunities more aggressively yet measurably,’ said Dewi.
Meanwhile, PT Pertamina Energy Terminal President Director Bayu Prasetyo reminded that any expansion plans must be based on thorough business analysis, including risks, profit projections, and investment requirements.
Responding to these inputs, Heri stated that the RUPST results serve as a foundation for the company to strengthen competitiveness through operational improvements, governance, human resource development, and sustainable business expansion. ‘The trust and support of shareholders motivate us to continue improving company performance. PME is committed to strengthening operational aspects, governance, work safety, human resource development, and sustainable business expansion,’ said Heri.
