Pertamina Lubricants' Export Markets Reach 17 Countries, Australia as the Largest Market
Jakarta — Pertamina Lubricants is not only relying on the domestic market. The state-owned lubricant company is active in expanding its export markets to a range of countries.
Currently, Pertamina’s lubricant products have been exported to 17 countries across regions. Some markets have even become major contributors to the company’s international sales.
‘Our presence in Australia is relatively large, and we also have a manufacturing facility in Thailand,’ Nugroho told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.
He said Thailand is one of the strategic markets for Pertamina Lubricants. Beyond the Asian region, the company also penetrates markets farther afield such as Africa.
‘Thailand is one of our focus markets. In the far markets such as South Africa, we also have Nigeria, and Japan as well. With our global partnership, Japan is also growing,’ he said.
Although export markets are continuing to develop, Nugroho said the company currently has no plans to add more destination countries. The strategy chosen is to strengthen the markets already existing.
In addition to product quality, he noted that trust from international partners is also influenced by the company’s research and development capabilities in technology.
He said the presence of these facilities is evidence of Pertamina Lubricants’ seriousness in developing technology while maintaining quality standards.
‘These facilities also give confidence to partners to collaborate with us,’ he said.
