Pertamina Launches Road to MotoGP Indonesia 2026 Series

PT Pertamina (Persero) launched the Road to Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 series through the Homecoming Tour Local Heroes Indonesia: Indonesia Mendunia Bersama Pertamina event in Jakarta on Friday (17/7), as part of efforts to build public enthusiasm ahead of the world motorcycle racing event. The launch was marked by the waving of a start flag by PT Pertamina (Persero) Vice President Corporate Communication Muhammad Baron alongside Moto2 racer Mario Suryo Aji and Moto3 racer Veda Ega Pratama at Hotel Artotel Senayan, Jakarta. During the event, Pertamina also held a talkshow session featuring Muhammad Baron, Mario Suryo Aji, Veda Ega Pratama, Chairman of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 Troy Warokka, and IMI Pusat Motorcycle Safety Chairman Ahmad Jayadi. On the occasion, Pertamina affirmed its commitment to making the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia not only a world-class racing event, but also a momentum to strengthen the national motorsport ecosystem and encourage the emergence of more Indonesian racers capable of achieving at the international level. The series of activities also included a meet and greet session with Mario Suryo Aji and Veda Ega Pratama at the Pertamina Booth located at Anjungan Sarinah, Jakarta. The booth also featured various interactive activities and merchandise distribution for visitors. Special Envoy of the President for Youth Development and Arts Workers Raffi Ahmad was also present to offer support to Mario Aji and Veda Ega Pratama ahead of their participation in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026. Meanwhile, the symbolic launch of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 was carried out by pressing a button by PT Pertamina (Persero) Corporate Secretary Arya Dwi Paramita, ITDC Acting President Director Ahmad Fajar, and Deputy for Sports Industry Development at the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports Teuku Arlan Perkasa Lukman.
