Pertamina Jatimbalinus Ensures Adequate Fuel Stock During Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr
Surabaya, KOMPAS.com - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus has assured that fuel stock will be safe during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026. Energy supply had previously been a focus of attention after the Middle East conflict between Iran and the United States and Israel triggered the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s main oil trade shipping route. Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus said it would continue to monitor global developments that could affect energy distribution domestically, particularly fuel. Area Manager for Communications, Relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, said fuel stock levels in the region were at a safe level. “Currently, the average resilience of fuel stock, especially in the Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus area, is assured to meet the community’s needs, particularly during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr,” Ahad said on Friday (6 March 2026). Pertamina has also increased the stock build-up pattern ahead of Ramadan to anticipate demand surges. “Distribution of fuel to distribution agencies has so far been smooth without significant obstacles,” Ahad said. Pertamina is also coordinating with various sectors to anticipate potential disruptions during the distribution process. As a precautionary step, Pertamina Jatimbalinus applies the Regular, Alternative, and Emergency (RAE) method in managing the supply chain and energy distribution. The method is used to maintain supply continuity, including in facing potential logistical disruptions. The steps are taken while continuing to prioritise worker safety, asset security, and operational continuity. “We urge the public to stay calm and not panic-buy fuel according to their needs,” Ahad said. Pertamina also asks the public to report if they encounter violations or discomfort at distribution outlets. Reports can be submitted via Pertamina Contact Center 135.
