Pertamina Introduces Return Journey Service for 2026 Eid al-Fitr
PT Pertamina (Persero) has for the first time introduced a return mobilisation service for revellers heading back to the Special Capital Region of Jakarta as part of the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme. This initiative represents the company’s commitment to supporting the smooth mobility of the public during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return flow through safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient group travel.
More than 900 participants were dispatched simultaneously to Jakarta from four assembly points: Cirebon, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. The departure from Yogyakarta was officiated by Independent Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), Condro Kirono, at Mandala Krida Stadium on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
Condro Kirono stated that the programme not only provides mobility convenience but also reflects the spirit of collaboration in creating more orderly and efficient journeys.
“This programme is a form of Pertamina’s care in supporting public mobility. We want to accompany the journey from start to finish, not only during the outbound trip but also the return to Jakarta. Through the use of shared transportation, we hope to encourage energy efficiency while helping to reduce traffic density during Eid,” said Condro.
Meanwhile, Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina (Persero), Arya Dwi Paramita, emphasised that the return flow service is provided to ensure revellers can return to Jakarta smoothly and safely after celebrating Eid al-Fitr with their families.
“We want to ensure that revellers can return to Jakarta smoothly and safely. With the transportation facilities we provide, we hope the public will have a comfortable travel experience until they reach their destination,” explained Arya.
Furthermore, through this programme, Pertamina also seeks to support government policies on energy efficiency amid global dynamics. The provision of bus fleets as mass transportation is a concrete step in reducing the use of fuel oil and exhaust gas emissions.
“The mudik and return service programme using mass transportation is a concrete step in reducing fuel oil consumption. We hope the public can arrive in Jakarta comfortably and safely, while contributing to supporting national energy sustainability,” added Arya.
Previously, on Sunday, 15 March 2026, Pertamina had dispatched more than 5,000 revellers using 153 bus fleets to 23 destinations on Java Island through the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme, themed “Safe Mudik, Sharing Hopes”. This programme reaffirms Pertamina’s active role in creating more orderly, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly mudik journeys.
As a leading company in the energy transition sector, Pertamina continues to commit to supporting the Net Zero Emission target for 2060 and promoting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This commitment is realised through company transformation oriented towards governance, public service, business sustainability, and the environment with the application of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles across all business lines and operations.
