Pertamina Integrated Terminal Surabaya Receives PROPER Gold Award 2025 from Ministry of Environment
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Integrated Terminal Surabaya has successfully received the PROPER Gold award for 2025 from the Ministry of Environment (KLH) in recognition of its dedication and commitment to sustainable environmental governance. This achievement is inseparable from efforts in managing the living environment in both operational aspects and for the surrounding community. The award was directly presented by the Minister of Environment (BPLH)/Head of the Environmental Management Agency (BPLH) Hanif Faisol Nurofiq to the company’s representatives during the PROPER Environmental Award event at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/4/2026). For information, the Company Performance Rating Programme (PROPER) award is held annually as an effort to enhance companies’ compliance with environmental regulations. The company’s success in receiving this award is inseparable from the SIMULTAN (Simultaneous Multi-Line Tank Operation) Innovation Programme, which can save energy by 289.2 GJ. Additionally, there is the OPTIMIST (Optimal Mist System) Programme, which reduces water usage through the implementation of high-pressure mist technology in the tank temperature control system, saving 702 m3 of water. Furthermore, the company has successfully reduced emissions through the CARGO (Carbon Reduction through Gas Optimization) Programme, reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GRK) through optimisation of the Out Pipeline route at IT Surabaya, which can lower emissions by 86.13 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. This terminal plays an important role in supplying and distributing fuel oil (BBM) for the East Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and surrounding regions. Operating since 1957, the terminal has a production capacity of up to 144,000 kL and distributes an average of 12,000 kL of BBM per day for various products such as Premium, Solar, Bio Solar, Kerosene, Pertamax, Pertalite, Pertamax Plus, Avtur, Avgas, and others.
