Pertamina Increases Pertalite Supply in DIY and Central Java for School Holidays
During the school holiday period running from 22 June to 3 July 2026, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Central Java - DIY has taken proactive measures. Pertamina has officially increased Pertalite stock supplies by 10% to 18% across all petrol stations (SPBU) within the Central Java and Special Region of Yogyakarta regions.
This strategic step was taken to anticipate the surge in tourist vehicles, reflecting trends from last year’s school holiday period when fuel consumption increased by 1.4% in Central Java and 7% in DIY. Taufiq Kurniawan, Area Manager of Communication, Relations, & CSR for Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java - DIY, stated that the position of Central Java and DIY as primary national tourist destinations is the driving force behind this stock reinforcement.
“Central Java and DIY are two provinces that rely on the tourism sector as the heart of their economy. Access is easy and affordable, so as in previous years, we are anticipating and fully supporting this surge in consumption,” said Taufiq.
The daily reinforcement of stocks at petrol stations will be carried out dynamically based on periodic evaluations, with primary priority given to routes and tourist destinations.
To ensure consumer comfort and prevent congestion around filling areas, Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java - DIY is also implementing five tactical steps. First, fuel distribution to petrol stations will be conducted in the early hours of the morning to avoid traffic density. Second, the delivery volume capacity of Pertalite to petrol stations may be increased.
Third, specialised officers have been prepared to manage queues on the ground to ensure orderly filling. Fourth, bottled drinking water (AMDK) will be distributed free of charge to motorists in queues. Fifth, the MyPertamina digital access will be optimised to help visitors easily find information on the nearest petrol stations, he added.
To ensure smooth operations on the ground, Pertamina is ensuring intensive coordination with Local Governments and the police force. This measure is being taken to ensure that fuel supplies remain smooth without causing congestion that would disturb other road users.
