Marking the Ramadan season, the mudik exodus, and the Eid holiday period in 2026, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Central Java (JBT) has distributed additional supplies of 3 kg LPG cylinders totalling more than 9 million units across Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).

The total additional supply prepared reaches 9,047,530 cylinders, comprising 5,902,480 cylinders through facultative distribution and 3,145,050 cylinders through extra dropping. This measure is undertaken to ensure the energy needs of communities remain fulfilled throughout the Ramadan to Eid period.

Of the total additional supply, 8,225,930 cylinders are allocated to Central Java, whilst 821,600 cylinders are distributed to the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Compared with normal 3 kg LPG consumption in Central Java and DIY, which reaches approximately 37,742,120 cylinders, the additional supply of more than 9 million cylinders represents approximately 24 per cent of normal consumption.

On a regional basis, the additional supply in Central Java reaches approximately 24.48 per cent of normal consumption of 33,614,480 cylinders, whilst in DIY the additional supply reaches approximately 19.9 per cent of normal consumption of 4,127,640 cylinders.

The distribution of additional 3 kg LPG is carried out in phases following trends in increased community consumption. Facultative distribution of 3 kg LPG in Central Java and DIY is scheduled on public holidays and red-letter dates.

In addition to facultative distribution, Pertamina also distributes extra dropping of 3 kg LPG as additional supply outside regular distribution, commencing from late February 2026. The total extra dropping prepared reaches 3,145,050 cylinders, comprising 2,801,210 cylinders for Central Java and 343,840 cylinders for DIY.

Facultative distribution represents replacement distribution carried out during holidays or public holidays, whilst extra dropping represents additional supply distributed alongside regular distribution to strengthen stock availability in the field, particularly during periods of increased community consumption.

This measure forms part of Pertamina’s efforts to maintain stability of energy supplies whilst anticipating increased household LPG consumption that typically occurs during Ramadan to Eid.

Area Manager Communication, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility for Central Java Region, Taufiq Kurniawan, stated that Pertamina continues to ensure stock reliability down to the distribution level that directly touches the community.

“We ensure this additional 3 kg LPG supply can maintain stock reliability in the field, particularly at the depot level, so that communities need not worry about 3 kg LPG availability during Ramadan to Eid,” he said.

Furthermore, as support for the government’s LPG subsidy programme, Pertamina appeals to those capable to use non-subsidised LPG so that subsidised distribution remains well-targeted. Pertamina provides non-subsidised Bright Gas LPG products in two size variants, namely 5.5 kg and 12 kg.

Pertamina also appeals to communities to purchase 3 kg LPG at official Pertamina depots. Besides guaranteed stock, the price is also ensured to comply with government regulations, namely the Maximum Retail Price (HET) of IDR 18,000.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Central Java is committed to continuing to ensure energy distribution runs smoothly and reaches its intended targets, particularly during important occasions such as Ramadan and Eid, to support the comfort of communities in Central Java and DIY.
