Pertamina Increases Fuel and LPG Stocks Ahead of Eid al-Fitr in South Java Coast Region
PURWOKERTO — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Region Central Java (JBT) has increased stocks of petroleum fuel and liquefied petroleum gas across the South Java Coast (Pansela) region of Central Java in anticipation of rising public demand ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
Speaking from Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency on Friday, Area Manager Communication, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility for Pertamina Patra Niaga Region JBT Taufiq Kurniawan stated that stock increases are being carried out through the Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force (Satgas Rafi) 2026 in the Pansela Sales Area Tegal region, covering Banyumas, Banjarnegara, Cilacap, Purbalingga and Kebumen Regencies.
“To ensure energy availability for the public during Ramadhan through Eid al-Fitr, we have increased stocks of petroleum fuel and LPG across the Pansela region,” he said.
He stated that fuel supplies in the region are sourced from the Maos Fuel Terminal in Cilacap Regency.
During the Satgas Rafi period, Pertamina has increased fuel stocks by approximately 4 to 5 per cent compared to normal conditions.
“Meanwhile, LPG supplies are supported by the Balongan LPG Depot, Cilacap LPG Depot, and Obsico LPG Depot with stock increases of approximately 6.7 per cent to maintain smooth distribution during the Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr period,” he said.
In addition to increasing stocks, Pertamina has projected an increase in gasoline consumption of 23.3 per cent from an average daily normal rate of approximately 1,986 kilolitres to approximately 2,446 kilolitres per day.
Conversely, gasoil consumption is projected to experience a slight decline of approximately 2.1 per cent from an average daily normal rate of approximately 993 kilolitres to approximately 973 kilolitres per day due to reduced industrial activity during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
“Meanwhile, LPG consumption is projected to increase by approximately 13 per cent in several regions,” he said.
In this regard, LPG consumption in Banjarnegara Regency is estimated to increase from an average of 92 metric tonnes per day to approximately 104 metric tonnes per day.
In Banyumas Regency, LPG consumption is projected to increase from 192 metric tonnes per day to approximately 216 metric tonnes per day, whilst in Cilacap Regency it is expected to increase from 184 metric tonnes to approximately 207 metric tonnes per day.
According to him, increases are also projected in Purbalingga Regency from 102 metric tonnes per day to approximately 115 metric tonnes per day, as well as in Kebumen Regency from 130 metric tonnes per day to approximately 146 metric tonnes per day.
“We ensure the readiness of energy infrastructure and distribution during Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr so that public needs continue to be met,” Taufiq said.
