Pertamina Holds Low-Cost Market for Communities Near Operational Areas

PT Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field has launched a Low-Cost Market Programme for communities surrounding the company’s operational areas. This time, the programme distributed 1,000 subsidised staple food packages to residents in Rawadalem Village, Indramayu Regency. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Indramayu Regency Government, Balongan District Government, Rawadalem Village Government, and various other stakeholders. “This low-cost market is also part of the company’s corporate social responsibility commitment to help the community obtain basic necessities at more affordable prices while strengthening the community’s economic resilience,” said Head of Communication, Relations & CID for Pertamina EP West Java Area, Wazirul Luthfi, on Monday (3/8). He stated that the company’s presence must provide benefits that are directly felt by the community. Pertamina EP is not only committed to maintaining the sustainability of upstream oil and gas operations but also wants to grow together with the communities around its operational areas. “We hope this Low-Cost Market programme can help ease the burden on the community in meeting their basic needs, while also strengthening the spirit of togetherness between the company and the community,” he added. Meanwhile, Acting Regional Secretary of Indramayu Regency, Ahmad Syadali, expressed appreciation for the collaboration between Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field and the Indramayu Regency Government in supporting community welfare. “We appreciate the concern of Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field, which continues to present programmes that provide direct benefits to the community. This synergy between the regional government and the business sector is an important force in helping the community meet their basic needs while supporting the improvement of welfare for the people of Indramayu Regency,” he said. Rawadalem Village Head Mukmin stated that his residents have directly felt the benefits of the Low-Cost Market programme. “The benefits of this Low-Cost Market programme are truly felt, because it helps the community obtain basic necessities at more affordable prices.
