Pertamina Holds Cheap Groceries Programme, Donates to NTT Earthquake Victims

Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Region held an independence activation and cheap groceries redemption programme at seven petrol stations in Central Java and Yogyakarta on Monday (17/8), in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.

Grocery packages worth Rp150,000 could be redeemed by the public for Rp100,000. Proceeds from the sales will be channelled as donations for earthquake victims in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The activity was held in the cities of Semarang, Tegal, Banyumas, Yogyakarta, Sukoharjo, and Sragen, involving veterans, online motorcycle taxi communities (ojol), and orphanage children.

Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Region, Fanda Chrismianto, said the activity served as a momentum to strengthen synergy while delivering benefits to the community.

“Through this cheap groceries redemption programme, we want the public to directly feel the benefits of the spirit of independence. Every package sold also represents our shared concern for our brothers and sisters in NTT,” he said.

In Semarang, the programme took place at two petrol stations, namely Kedungmundu and South Semarang, and received enthusiastic response from consumers. One of them, Monica, said she was pleased to be able to buy groceries while also helping earthquake victims in NTT.
